This collection is a step in a different direction from what I usually do. I normally love following a story, or a theme of one of my lived experiences. Yet it's also important to try something you don't, in this case a photoshoot of my friends Cassidy & Bobbi.
The hardest part of a staged photoshoot for me is how to stage people. I am used to taking candid shots of people, places and things, using them as themes for a collection. Having to choose what inherently works, and what looks good is not my forté.
I view the world as a bystander that likes to capture what I see. Changing it's nature feels wrong. That doesn't make me any less happy with how it turned out, and it has put me one step closer towards comfortability with a part of photography I don't explore.
There are only two types of shots, good ones and ones that you learn from.
